                             RESOLUTION NO.   21139 
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY FINANCE
                  OFFICER TO MAKE ONE-TIME SUPPLEMENTAL PAYMENTS
                  TO FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
                  HUMAN SERVICES NOT COVERED BY THE CITY'S PAY
                  PLAN.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       payment of one-time supplemental amounts (bonuses) to full time
       employees of the Department of Human Services not covered by the
       City's pay plan; and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the final effect of these
       bonuses will have been to raise the affected employees' pay by a
       total of six percent (6%) for fiscal year 1996-97 only, including 

       any permanent increase in pay.  Specifically, for employees
       receiving a four percent (4%) pay increase, a two percent (2%)
       bonus shall be paid.  For employees receiving no pay increase, a
       six percent (6%) bonus shall be paid.
